I have read the beginning of this story last year. Blue beard is terrible man, for he killed his wives who don’t obey him one after another. This scene I quoted is the most impressive I think. He tried to kill his wife, and then two men entered there. They were his wife’s brothers he knew, so he fled but two horsemen chased and killed him. Thanks to them his wife were not killed.
And in this story, old words are used, such as “dost thou” and “Alas”.
